So many exciting things happening over the next few months!
Next week I'll begin rehearsals for ARTAUD ARTAUD, a silly/serious/schizophrenic bioplay about avant-garde godfather Antonin Artaud, written by Matthew Minnicino and directed by Jake Beck. It will premiere this September at the Dream Up Festival at the Theatre for the New City. This play will be the inaugural production for the brand new theatre company: Artilliers!
To check out what they're all about and to learn more about how you can help this show become a reality, check out their Kickstarter page HERE.
I'll also be starting rehearsals for a production of Norah Ephron's LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE, directed by Tom Titone. Fun fact: This was the first play I ever saw when I moved to the city to study at NYU! The production will be a fundraiser for the Westchester End-of-Life Coalition, which prepares and educates families who have someone who's been diagnosed with a fatal illness.
Lastly, I'll be in the Loft at Judson Memorial Church on August 5th at 8 pm singing music from two original biblical musicals: The First Book of: The Bible and Exodus! The Story of a Boy... , both written by Wesley Zurick and Christian Haigis. This evening of BIBLE STORIES will be part of Judon's "Bailout Theatre" program, which involves a free dinner and free theatre for the public! PS - the music is amazing!
